SUA Staff – The circle of extreme leftists advisers allied to the Obama administration is continually being uncovered. Each is one, or a combination of the following; union VIP, communist sympathizer, socialists, Cloward/Piven devotees, Saul Alinsky graduates, New World Order elitists, eugenics supporters, domestic terrorists, convicted felons, wall street icons, banking fat cats, tax cheats, and not the least of which, terrorist lawyers.
The advice Obama seeks is always focused on how to get around the Constitution, not to support it. There is a difference between looking at the Constitution to see if you are defending it, and looking at it to see how you can operate in a way that subverts it.
Case in point, the interim Acting Solicitor General between Kagan and now Donald B. Verrilli, Jr. was Neal Katyal. Elena Kagan now sits as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court. Kagan was one of that circle as well and worked closely with Katyal to push all the right text/language on Obamacare. Kagan was the one who when revealed through emails, actually jumped for joy when it was learned that certain lawmakers were committing to a yes vote.
The association is important because the ‘Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act’ was signed into law July 21, 2010, creating an agency that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was to initially lead.
It seems that Katyal was asked about recess appointments to populate the vacant new office of Director of the self-financing ‘watch dog’ government agency: ‘Consumer Financial Protection Agency’ (CFPA).
He is not the only one to offer advice as is evident by this Legal Issues Raised by Recess Appointment of Director of Consumer Financial Protection Bureau PDF, produced by Covington and Burling, Eric Holder’s firm.
Initially, Elizabeth Warren was to be the nominee, but that went by the way side, though she was temporarily in the position, appointed by Obama to get the department up and running during the 111th Congress, but he would not support her as his nominee in the 112th. Republicans made it clear they would vigorously challenge that nomination, due in large measure to the actual department itself and how it would be financed.
The White House no longer wanted to wait for a replacement Senate confirmation on their nominee, so Katyal was asked once again for his legal advice about the recess appointment process they conjured up to name Richard Cordray even while the Senate was in pro-forma session and he gave his nod that it was legal. Once again, another member of the circle offers an opinion based on one of the associations of the extreme far-left mentioned above.
How far left is Katyal? He was the lead counsel for the Guantanamo Bay detainees in the Supreme Court case Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, which held that military commissions set up by the Bush administration to try detainees at Guantanamo Bay “violated both the UCMJ and the four Geneva Conventions.
Katyal also served as National Security Adviser in the U.S. Justice Department in 1997-1999, and was commissioned by President Bill Clinton to write a report on the need for more legal pro bono work.
So, who does he work for now? He is at Hogan Lovells, an international law firm, the same firm that lured the Director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Civil Enforcement office, Adam Kushner, to join its Washington office as a partner, the law firm said Thursday. Kushner brings nearly 30 years of experience in environmental regulation and litigation to Hogan Lovells’ environmental practice group and is the go to guy on cap and trade.
In his latest role, Kushner had supervisory oversight for the national enforcement program for the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Oil Pollution Act of 1990, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Safe Drinking Water Act etc. Look for his advice to Obama to emerge on that very controversial topic.
Katyal is a terrorist sympathizer and he is among communist and New World Order type lawyers. They are on speed dial with the White House, EPA, and the DoJ, and are clearly indicative of how the current administration thinks – and its not a constitutional path. When a Constitutional question arises – consult the uber-leftists.
