None Dare Call It Conspiracy
Ray DiLorenzo
Why does the Left object so strenuously to enforcing our southern border even for reasons of National Security and public safety? Why would elements of the political and globalist elite allow millions of the poorest migrants and refugees into their countries? Is it humanitarian or is something else in play? And finally, why are so many conservatives reluctant to vigorously oppose such policies?
What can these poor immigrants bring to the table that other immigrants have not previously?
The Center for Immigration Studies found:
- 51% of immigrants use at least one federal welfare program, compared to 30% of native households.
- The average immigrant household consumes 33% more cash welfare, 57% more food assistance and 44% more Medicaid dollars than the average native household.
- Immigrants from Mexico and Central America have the highest welfare costs than from any other region – 86% higher than native households.
- The average household headed by an immigrant, legal or illegal, consumes 41% more in federal welfare benefits than native households.
This situation is not limited to the United States. It is happening all over Europe as well. Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, has commented on the issue:
“We live in a conspiracy where secret and behind closed doors decisions are being made to import leftist [non-white] voters.”
The Left, in both Europe and the United States, is apparently engaged in changing the electoral balance of power to maintain their political power base at all costs.
This is neither unusual nor anything new on the political scene. James Michael Curley, four-time Boston mayor between 1914 and 1950, discovered that he could increase and solidify his power base by instituting policies that stifle economic growth. He found that making a city poorer led to political success to those that engineered the impoverishment. This has been labeled by Harvard scholars as the ‘Curley Effect.’
The ‘Curley Effect’ typically occurs when Democratic leaders adopt redistributive policies transferring wealth from the rich and middle class to the poor, in the process creating millions of economically dependent people. President Johnson recognized this when he established his ‘Great Society’ program in 1964. He knew and commented that the new welfare payments would not make a substantial difference in their lives, but would make the recipients “vote Democratic for 200 years.”
President Obama took the Curley Effect nationwide. Consider the United States before and after President Obama:
- Obama doubled the national debt to 9.99 trillion.
- President Obama oversaw the worst economic growth of any president since Herbert Hoover.
- Debt to GDP ratio went from 64.8% to 101.6%.
- People on food stamps grew from 24.2 million to 47.6 million.
- Poverty rate from 13.2 % to 15%.
- Home ownership from 67.5% to 65%.
- Median income in 2008 was $53,644 to $51,017 in 2016.
The Left will use any noxious tactic in their scheme to increase or hold on to their power. Class warfare is the most common and the most effective weapon in demonizing their political opponents, the rich and even the middle class for being ‘racist’ and ‘exploiters of the poor.’ It’s their ‘Kryptonite’ weapon of choice.
Most beneficiaries of this redistribution seemingly are unable or unwilling to see a connection between their impoverishment and left-wing policies. Instead, they see the Democrat Party as noble and their last line of defense against destitution. So effective was Mayor Curley that his ‘accomplishments’ earned him the unofficial title of “Mayor of the Poor.” Bostonians failed to see that, for many of them, much of their predicament was by design. Today, those that do eventually see the light are brutally attacked politically and personally for not going with the program or leaving the fold.
The best modern examples of the Curley Effect can be seen in the ten poorest cities in America, Detroit, Buffalo, St. Louis, Newark, Cleveland, Miami, El Paso, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Cincinnati. They have not elected a Republican city government since the 1980s. Eight of the ten cities have not had a conservative mayor for over 50 years.
For many politicians, both Democrat and some Republicans, the Curley effect has worked well. Their defense against any attack is, of course, throwing powerful slurs like racist, islamophobe, fascist or hate-monger. Unfortunately, many gutless Republicans refrain from exposing the conspiracy or even defending their positions lest they awaken the fictional, but dreaded racist label. Too bad.

Newsmax Interview with General Paul Vallely
Gen. Vallely: “Trump-Putin meeting could happen this summer.”
A meeting between President Trump and Vladimir Putin could take place in July – and rival the meeting between President Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev that ended the Cold War, predicts retired Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely in an interview with Rita Cosby from Newsmax. Newsmax
Editor’s note: In spite of many Democrats wanting to keep Russia an enemy of the United States to mask their misdeeds, Gen. Vallely is working hard to find common ground with the Russian people.

Fox News: Obama Went to Brits to Spy on Trump
Judge Andrew Napolitano, Senior Judicial Analyst for Fox News, claimed “three intelligence sources” said President Obama went outside the chain of command and looked to British spy agency GCHQ to obtain transcripts of conversations involving President Trump. A spokesman for 10 Downing Street said that the “allegations are ridiculous.” Breitbart
Editor’s note: Using the British equivalent of the CIA would not leave a paper trail as to what took place, making it extremely difficult to prove. Rule of thumb: A protest answer to a question or charge is reason to suspect the possibility of dishonesty.
Hawaii Judge Blocks Trump’s Temporary Immigration Ban
Judge Derrick Watson of Hawaii has issued a Temporary Restraining Order blocking President Trump’s Temporary Immigration Ban. Says Todd Starnes of Townhall, “Critics say it is a ban on Muslims, but that is not true. It’s a ban on refugees from countries infested with jihadists. What is wrong with these people? Judge Watson’s decision puts all of us in grave danger.” Townhall
Editor’s note: There are presently about 300 FBI investigations of potential terrorists that came here as refugees. And that is only what the FBI is aware of. Judge Watson was appointed by President Obama and were students together in law school. It has been reported that Obama arrived in Hawaii for a visit 48 hours before the decision was set down….hmmm?
Another Clinton?
The media seems driven to push Chelsea Clinton into the political spotlight, four months after her mother blew an election that the Huffington Post put her as having a 98% chance of winning. Chelsea has written her prerequisite ‘Profiles In Courage’ entitled ‘She Persisted.’ Red Alert Politics
Editor’s note: Apparently, Chelsea is being groomed for a career the media and the ‘Clinton Dynasty’ seem to think she’s entitled to…like mother, like daughter.
Judge Considers Ordering Trump to Double Refugees Entering
A federal District Court judge in Maryland in considering whether he should order President Trump to double the annual inflow of refugees up to 100,000 per year. Breitbart
Editor’s note: I have never seen such overreach of the judiciary as is occurring today. It has become a complete exposure and full-on revolt of the deep-state liberal statists. If that judge wants to be president, he should run.
Refugees Will Cost $4.1 Billion in FY 2017
American tax payers will spend more than $4.1 billion in the 2017 budget to support the 519,018 refugees who have been resettled by the federal government since October, 2009. Breitbart
Editor’s note: $4.1 billion could buy thousands of houses for homeless vets. Helping refugees is a government mandate while much aid to vets is by donation.
Julie Andrews & Her Daughter Write Essay Urging Trump Not to Cut Arts Funding
Trump’s proposal for fiscal year 2018 cuts funding for the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CNN
Editor’s note: Every recipient of public money will squeal if their funding is cut or curtailed. I’ve always smerked when Public Broadcasting would ask for donations to restore old films. Although it is voluntary, why should the public be asked to pay to restore someone elses commercial product? Art should stand on its own merit, like every other marketable commodity. If the rich entertainment industry wants to restore or advance art, have at it.

Two Airlines Dropping Service to Cuba
Frontier Airlines, based in Denver, and Silver Airlines out of Fort Lauderdale are dropping service to Cuba amid uncertainty over new market and excess capacity, meaning too many seats with not enough passengers. Other airlines will continue service despite challenges, noting it is a new market. Air Transport World
Editor’s note: Although air service to Cuba has been restored, it is highly restricted. Travelers have to fit in certain categories, like trips related to education and humanitarian causes. Trips to Cuba purely for vacation purposes are not allowed.

Liberal Dictionary
As a public service, to cut through the haze of liberal-speak, we will present in the coming weeks a handy dictionary of favorite liberal buzz words to clarify their true meanings.
Minorities: Non-white and female people.
Modern Perspective: Refers to a ‘musty, old and out-of-date Constitution.’
Morals: Things you should avoid having lest you offend those that have none.
Racism: A word you cry when you’re losing an argument with a conservative.
Taxes: A limitless supply of free money to be given away in exchange for votes.
Say What?
Fascism
Since liberals, Marxists, socialists, whatever, are fond of calling Conservatives fascists, let’s find out what a Fascist really is:
Fascism: A system of government marked by centralization of authority [just what liberals want] under a dictator [can Obama run again?], a capitalist economy subject to stringent government controls [tens of thousands of pages of regulations], with violent suppression of the opposition [don’t let the opposition speak]. Free Dictionary
Now, who are the Fascists?
Middlebury College students (fascists) turn their back on Conservative speaker. He was forced a short time later to end his address.
In Case You Missed It
President Trump Cuts Spending
For the first time in memory a president is cutting real fat from our budget and holding to his promise of economic growth.
The EPA will be cut 31%
The State Department will be cut 28%
The Department of Agriculture will be cut 21%
The Department of Labor will be cut 21%
The Corporation For Public Broadcasting will be cut
The National Endowment for the Arts will be cut
The National Endowment for Humanities will be cut
The taxpayer dollars saved will be used for economic growth, not government growth!
The bureaucrats that sit all day on their hide quarters will cry a river. Then we’ll hear words like ‘draconian’ being used and once again see the old lady in the wheelchair being dropped off the cliff…$20 trillion debt and counting.
Comedy Break…Sort Of
Editor’s note: Mark Zuckerberg, another open-borders liberal, went to Mexico City and said, “America’s immigration policy is “strange” and “unfit” for today’s world.” But, he spent $30 million to buy all the houses surrounding his home to secure his borders. Their affinity for open borders ends at their compounds and fenced-off estates…hypocrites all!

Cracks in the Republic – 3/11/2017
“Great newsletter with precision quotes from John Adams and George Washington and present day occurences. Unfortunately, I don’t think we are close to ground zero yet. Keep up the good work.” RF
“Thanks.” RC
Editor’s note: You’re welcome.
“I read your ‘Cracks in the Republic’ with great interest. I knew from my earliest readings in American History that the founders discouraged political parties, but I don’t for the life of me know what we could do about it. The power structure is too embedded and fixed in stone. Short of a complete overthrow, I don’t see how it could be changed. And even if we did, within one generation there would be (wait for it)…more political parties.” BS
Editor’s note: According to Gallup, as of late 2014, 58% of U.S. adults say a third party is needed because the two dominant parties do such a poor job of representing the American people. The 58% are certainly, at least, half right. Maybe, if we didn’t have ANY parties, the people in Congress would concentrate more on their constituents than their party.

Timeless Quotes
Napoleon Bonaparte
1769-1821
“In politics, stupidity is not a handicap.”
Editor’s note: Interestingly, in 1799 during Napoleon’s campaign in Egypt, a French soldier named Pierre Francois Bouchard discovered the Rosetta Stone. This artifact proved to be the key to cracking the code of Egyptian hieroglyphics, a language dead for almost 2,000 years.
