Editor’s Note – It is now clear that the US Sentinel stealth drone RQ-170 that landed unmolested in Iran did so with the help of Russian technology. The Avtobaza System appears to have been able to take over the controls of the unit and now the Iranians are selling access. The cost appears to be quite steep, and it is likely the Russians will gladly pay for the access and technology. The price includes the S-300 PMU-1 air defense system that is purported to be able to take down even the best American manned stealth-craft and that means Israeli craft as well.
They are also seeking further expertise in the nuclear enrichment filed, and both China and Russia appear willing. Both are already in Tehran as all expected, so the Chess Master is playing its deft hand at manipulating major powers into providing for their ultimate plans. Additionally, they are pushing the UN to investigate the “intrusion into their airspace“.

Iran is bragging that they can reverse engineer the craft and its controls themselves with their own personnel. They probably can because the Russians appear willing to pay the steep price. The Israelis, quickly contacted the Russians to try and stop the transaction, but we will all see soon enough how that turns out. The problem is, now that they seem to have the ability to commandeer a craft in such a manner, what will we lose next? What further problems does Israel have to fear?
With all the deaths of Iranian scientists, exploding facilities, the Stuxnet worm that disabled thousands of Iranian centrifuges and likely much more indicates that special operations are already underway from the west, SUA wonders if they can defeat the access and reverse engineering by destroying the craft where it stands now. Does DARPA have a plan?

Iran continues mocking the U.S. after a successful capture of a U.S. unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
(Baku, Azerbaijan) – According to the Iranian media, the Russian and Chinese experts applied to Iran with a request to allow them access to the drone. UAV Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel that flew over Iran to CIA order was landed thanks to Avtobaza (ground-based electronic intelligence system) received recently from Russia. The complex enabled not to shoot down the UAV but to take over management of it and land it in 225 km from the border with Afghanistan.
Iran has already put up its trophy for public display. Interception of the drone aircraft has become the largest defeat for the U.S. in Iran after the story when the commandos sent for rescuing the Americans held captive at the U.S. Embassy in 1979 failed to reach the goal.
Nuclear knowhow, S300 are Iran’s price for Russian, Chinese access to US drone
Iran is driving a hard bargain for granting access to the US stealth drone RQ-170 it captured undamaged last week, as Russian and Chinese military intelligence teams arriving in Tehran for a look at the secret aircraft soon found. DEBKAfile’s Moscow sources disclose that the price set by Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Ali Jaafari includes advanced nuclear and missile technology, especially systems using solid fuel, the last word on centrifuges for enriching uranium and the S-300PMU-1 air defense system, which Moscow has consistently refused to sell Tehran.
This super-weapon is effective against stealth warplanes and cruise missiles and therefore capable of seriously impairing any large-scale US or Israeli air or missile attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites. Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sent Russian-speaking Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to Moscow on Dec. 7 to try and dissuade Prime Minister Vladimir Putin from letting Iran have the S-300 batteries as payment for access to the captured US drone. Sources in Washington report that before sending Lieberman to Moscow, Netanyahu first checked with the White House at the highest levels.

Iranian Armed Forces to Simulate US RQ-170 Drone

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior parliamentarian underlined Tehran’s advanced technological capabilities and possibilities, and said the Iranian Armed Forces intend to simulate the design and reproduce the US RQ-170 Sentinel stealth aircraft that they downed in Eastern Iran last week.
“Relying on their scientific capabilities, the Armed Forces will be able to simulate the RQ-170 aircraft soon,” Vice-Chairman of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Ebrahimi told FNA on Sunday. “Iran enjoys different possibilities and precious technologies that the enemies are not aware of,” he added.
Ebrahimi stressed the importance and preciousness of the drone for Iran, and said understanding and using the technology of the stealth drone and its systems is the best thing Iran can do at present. On Saturday, another Iranian lawmaker said Tehran has the needed technology to decode the intelligence gathering systems of the drone.
“Since the hi-tech drone was downed, Americans have been seriously worried about the intelligence inside its systems, but they should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran will decode the intelligence and data existing in the drone systems by means of its highly-advanced technology,” member of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Hossein Naqavi told FNA.
He reiterated that decoding the intelligence in the RQ-170 spy aircraft will provide the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces with vitally important information. The unmanned surveillance plane lost by the United States in Iran was a stealth aircraft being used for secret missions by the CIA, US officials admitted earlier this week.
