Middle and Northern Fronts of IRGC
The Middle Front in Syria includes the province of Homs where the IRGC is located. It includes the Shairat Airbase where 3 IRGC battalions are located as well as military flights in and out!
The T4 airbase belongs to the Syrian Army and is located 50 km from Palmyra and stages attacks on Palmyra from there. 1,000 Russian commandos have been seen there since October 2015.
The Northern Front extends from Hama to the border with Turkey and includes Aleppo and Idib provinces. Bohouth garrison is located in the southwest of al-Safirah east of Aleppo. IRGC has labeled this as Ruqiya. In early 2016 about 2-3,000 forces of IRGC, Aghans, Iraqi and Hezbollah were stationed there. Material for chemical weapons and missile fuel are produced there.
Aleppo airport is controlled by the Syrian Army and IRGC with aircraft and helicopters. The Assad Academy Garrison is located northeast of Aleppo with an IRGC battalion stationed there.
The Hama airport is controlled by the IRGC and the Syrian Army where weapons and forces are airlifted.
The Mojanzarat base is located near Salimeh, 33-4 km from Tibat Turki and houses an IRGC force of 2,000 (considered secure).
Situated 7 km south of Serhin is the previous HQ of the 47th Armored Division. Several ITGC battalions are located there.
