The Prophet in All of Us
What is a prophet? A person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God!
Ezra 5:1-4
“Imagine the journey for the tribes of Benjamin and Judah. They trusted God, left captivity, returned to their homeland, and began to rebuild the temple for His glory. And yet their efforts were met with obstacles, opposition, and accusation- to the point that the work came to a halt. It stopped immediately. Where was God? Why did He allow the wicked and the liars to prosper? Because obstacles are a normal part of life in a fallen world. The arc of the covenant story of God with His people has always been one of risk, faith, setbacks, and breakthroughs. And it is no different today. The Lord raised up prophets not only to encourage the tribes of Benjamin and Judah but also to engage with the work at hand. The kingdom needs more people who are in step with the living God so that they can speak an accurate word in the due season. May you look for ways to encourage others and call out the best of God’s influence in them. May you wisely discern the times and know what to do. And you may step in and help where God invites you to be part of the solution. The world needs your influence.”
Privately immerse yourself in God’s Word, rest in His presence, and listen for His voice. God will use you mightily in your public life.
Pour your spirit out on me! I want to be in the right place at the right time with the right word at the right time. Speak prophetically and powerfully through me.
