Uncontrolled immigration threatens to deconstruct the nation we grew up in and convert America into a conglomeration of peoples with almost nothing in common – not history, heroes, language, culture, faith or ancestors. Balkanization beckons.

Pat Buchanan

The notion that the Democrats are seeking a civil war is gaining traction. There is a growing movement in Democrat states to rally behind their causes rather than their country.

Their cause is a secular society where abortion is unrestricted and morality is no longer a concern. They insist on open borders as a crucial requirement to increase the unrepresented Democratic voter base and draw cheap labor, or worse, slavery, including child slave labor. Repaying the fees the cartels charge for crossing borders takes years. They advocate for transgenderism to demonstrate their equality to God, support LGBTQ+ rights to ensure freedom from any law except man-made laws, and promote the concept of equality. It’s a common demand for those who will not produce.

Causes are a powerful rally point. It gives people a sense of cohesion, unity, belonging.

If a war were to occur, it might not resemble the American Civil War of 1861–1865. In that case, it would be a genuine civil war.

A civil war occurs when one side seeks to gain control of the government. In contrast, the Great Civil War involved the South’s desire to secede from the Union, not to control the government. That conflict is not classified as a civil war; instead, it is considered a war of secession.

When the South seceded, President Buchanan said, “Go in peace.” When Lincoln became president shortly after, he said (paraphrased), “Not so fast.”

This time the Democrats want complete control over our government. They have been working on it for decades. The education system, the deep state, the media, fraudulent elections, illegal immigration, assassination attempts, and crazy federal and state judges working as Democrat operatives are all intended to bring about their objective: complete control.

They are now in a corner, desperate, and show no signs of accepting the will of the people. They just may settle for secession.

On the surface, it sounds absurd, even ridiculous. But what has so many concerned is that the supposedly sane people in the Democrat Party know what is going on and they are silent. They say nothing.

They rarely speak, but when they do, they support the protesters’ actions and ignore the killings and shootings. Just a day ago, the Chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) stated, “The Democrats will not condemn those who wish to kill Jews, as we are a big tent.” Simply put, they allow in their party every form of human debris. Very worrisome.

Many claim that media and political discourse sensationalize the idea of civil war. I am not as confident about that anymore. With all the violence we have seen lately—the shootings, the attacks, the protests—I have not seen or heard any mainstream Democrats speak of any disagreement. In fact, I have heard the opposite.

When I ‘googled’ the subject of civil war, I got an AI perspective. It said it was a fringe movement, whereas most mainstream Leftist groups advocate for peaceful change. The fringe groups may express radical views, but they are just that…the fringe. Our AI friend also said that many on the Left emphasize dialogue and reform over armed conflict. Their political rhetoric can be heated, but it is often to highlight systemic issues rather than incite conflict.

This fringe that AI talks about is growing and accelerating.

The last point was alarming. Mr. AI also said that, to the Left, civil war was a last resort, with most preferring democratic processes. Last resort? So, civil war is on the table?

Professor Benjamin Cohen, a political economist and author of 20 books from the University of California, cautions that the likelihood of violence in the US is ‘substantially greater than zero.’ That means a rejection of the Constitution, federal laws, and the federal government.

That is happening now! Assaults on ICE officers are up 700%. Demonstrations and flag burning is a daily occurrence. Cars are being fire-bombed. Some black Democrats are expressing joy at the death of over 100 white people in the Texas floods. DNC leadership refuses to condemn anti-ICE messaging. Calling detention centers concentration camps is outrageous. It’s getting mad dog mean out there.

Cohen envisions another war of secession with California being the first state to declare its independence from the US by 2035. A YouGov poll (6/30/25) finds 40% of Americans agree with that possibility.

At the present course and speed, it will probably happen sooner rather than later.

The same poll found that the war will be fought between Democrats and Republicans, not between states although Professor Cohen also sees geographical borders being moved. States like New York will split in two with upstate going Republican and New York City remaining Democrat.

California may go the same route, with Democrat coastal California flying Mexican flags up to the San Francisco Bay area. Northern California, which leans Republican, may split away.

The professor continues: ‘President [JD] Vance will threaten a military takeover of state government in Sacramento, backed by National Guard troops from nearby red states.’ President Vance will take steps to stop the insurrection.

Professor Cohen says that armed conflict looks increasingly possible.

The recent Supreme Court decision empowering the President to maintain control over the National Guard—overriding state governors—further underscores the complexities of federal versus state authority in this polarized environment.

The evolving political landscape in America is increasingly marked by political, geographical, and cultural divides. Plus, let me underscore the increased pressure of newly arrived cultures foreign to our way of life.

Together, these developments not only reflect the changing dynamics of American politics but also raise important questions about governance and representation in an increasingly fragmented society. With the added pressure of illegal immigration adding peoples with no history of freedom or a free culture, we now have a recipe for an increasing appetite for being narrow-minded or ‘going your own way.’

With the Democrats nominating and electing communists in statewide elections, with Dems attacking and shooting at federal agents, and with mainline Democrats remaining silent, how do you go back to sanity? There is no anticipation of the violence abating any time soon. Illegal immigration and multiculturalism have played a significant role. It was never a solution for unity, only division. And maybe that was the plan.
