Tourist in Merry Old England
I was always fascinated with Great Britain. How could a relatively small island nation achieve such an empire as it was? But the saying, “The sun never sets on the British Empire,” is no longer true. Not only has it set on the empire, but it is also setting on Britain itself.
British colonialism had its day. It was good, and it was bad. Britain introduced much infrastructure, railways, roads, and bridges to countries that had none. They spread the English language, Christianity, commerce, and global communication. The British established legal systems and governance. Much of it is based on the Judeo-Christian ethic. English common law became the backbone of our own legal system. They promoted order and stability. They spread education and healthcare throughout many countries, improving literacy and public health in some regions.
But that coin had two sides that looked entirely different. The Brits exploited local populations and resources, which led to economic disparity in some places. They created arbitrary borders, leading to long-term ethnic and political conflicts. Some areas saw environmental degradation due to resource extraction and land exploitation. Some areas even had forced labor. But the Brits were among the first to outlaw slavery in 1834, 31 years before the United States in 1865. Cultural erasure can be a terrible thing. But in many regions, the arbitrary killing of people was something the Brits couldn’t tolerate, particularly regarding the Zulu culture.
It’s a sad story I am going to tell. The British people are angry at their government. Back in 1968, Gallup conducted a poll of the British people. By an 82% margin, the people polled said they wanted tighter immigration. Did they get it? No! Every candidate for prime minister (PM) since then has promised to implement tighter immigration policies. In fact, they won their elections based on that promise. Did it happen? No!
Did the conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson implement stricter immigration policies? No, quite the opposite. He allowed 1 million immigrants to enter the country each year, which has a population of 67 million, resulting in an increase of about 1.5% annually. Totally unsustainable. In the UK, 1 in every 20 people has arrived in just the last five years.
When Brits complained, what did they receive in return? They got accusations of racism, psychological manipulation, and gaslighting. Sound familiar? It was official; the majority is no longer listened to.
The Brits did what so many other countries have done or tried to do: they revised their education system and introduced propaganda to ensure that the citizenry was uneducated, ill-informed, and incapable of critical thinking. Governments in the West were no longer for the people; they were for the bureaucracy.
Britain became the center for diversity and multiculturalism. The British government promoted the same misleading ideas that the Democrats have been advocating here in the United States. “Diversity contributes to our strength,” yada, yada. Diversity is even written on some of their coinage. Is it true? No. It is, in fact, utterly absurd. What made Britain strong was a cohesive culture and language. Competing cultures are a strong dividing influence. Scripture references this in Genesis, where God disrupted the builders’ efforts to complete the Tower of Babel by giving them different languages.
One way that liberal culture undermines various cultures and nations is by eroding national pride within those countries. America’s liberals have been downplaying our country for decades.
The Rotherham Report
The British government has been trying to downplay race in crime to the point where they were not investigating massive crimes in areas of England. Gangs of Pakistanis were targeting children for sexual abuse for 16 years because people in authority were afraid of being labeled racist or intolerant if they acted on it. The Daily Mirror described this situation as “a horrific betrayal of 1400 children.” The situation had escalated to such a degree that, according to reports, the police responded to a house and found five Pakistani men with a 12-year-old girl who was intoxicated and half-naked. The schoolgirl was arrested for being drunk and disorderly. The men were left alone.
There have been reports of fathers rescuing their daughters from the Pakistani gang and getting arrested in the process. Other horrendous crimes, like bombings, have been ignored because the suspects were foreign. Crime stats show that migrants’ crime rate is 13X that of native Brits.
Countries with socialist policies, such as the UK and Democrat-led blue states, accept large numbers of migrants without considering the taxpayer costs associated with housing, feeding, clothing, and caring for these people, as well as the crimes they commit.
Civil War?
The conditions for a civil war are there…self-righteous British politicians much like the equally sanctimonious King Charles I, who was executed; an ignorant media and education system; and, as if a rerun of a cruel joke, King Charles III. There’s a king who has learned nothing of history or religion. He is effectively no longer the leader of the Church of England but a watchman for Islam, the religion he seems more sympathetic toward.
The people of Britain are now asking themselves if they are still a Christian nation, still embracing Western culture. The UK leadership has welcomed millions of Islamists who have no intention of integrating and are determined to dominate. They do not like churches or church bells ringing. Traveling through any city in the UK reveals halal butchers, numerous mosques, and crowds of people speaking foreign languages.
Islam is not a peaceful religion. It is antiquated, barbaric, and totally incompatible with Western civilization. They have their own culture and laws and want nothing to do with ours.
Nations that force-feed multiculturalism are doomed. They become a nation divided into groups, tribes that can no longer talk to each other and share no commonalities. They are irreconcilable, suspicious, and cannot coexist.
The sight of Mexicans waving Mexican flags or Syrians waving Syrian flags indicates that this division has arrived in the United States.
Protest marches in Britain on both sides are becoming commonplace, showing multiculturalism has failed. The British people are frustrated, being told they are wrong about everything from a political class that has lost its collective mind. It would not be too much to say that the governments of Britain, France, and Germany have divorced themselves from their people. It will not end well for them.
Common culture serves as the glue that binds society and nations together. It used to be common knowledge for any learned individual. It has now become an experiment among the avant-garde academics to inject multiculturalism, identity politics, and wokeism. In the 60s and 70s, we weren’t supposed to consider race, color, or creed. Now we have to consider everything, and Western culture has taken a big hit to show for it. Certainly, Britain is facing the possibility of civil war.
The big question is why. I see only two possibilities. Either the leadership in Europe is idiotic, or they desire the civil unrest and chaos that will result. Providing a reason to declare martial law and initiate the New World Order may be precisely what they want. They will, I believe, underestimate the civilian response.
If they succeed, the globalists will then have to fight the Islamists for dominance. It will be junkyard-dog mean. Islamists have said little about any one-world government. They are too busy gathering allies for their planned takeover of the West.
Here in the United States, we recognized the issue and took action by holding an election featuring a candidate who has fulfilled and is fulfilling his promises. The people of the UK and Europe need to take notice.
David Starkey, a noted British historian, said that the Left believes in magic, not universal truth; Parliament has been reduced to theater, and the Left are f***ing things up everywhere they go.
Muslims are confident that Britain will abandon the West and go the way of Islam, and why wouldn’t they? The European political class has given Muslims everything they have asked for. When the time is right, they will no longer ask.
