There is no mistaking it. Europe is not what it used to be. The Renaissance is long over; Christianity is all but dead. In the UK, mosques insist that churches refrain from ringing their church bells. At the same time, mosques have loudspeakers announcing a call to prayer, which they do publicly five times a day, driving Britons crazy. Why? They’re showing dominance.

Many European countries have transformed into mini enclaves resembling various third-world nations, to the extent that even the police are hesitant to enter them.

No matter how wonderful our past relations with Europe have been, it is unmistakable that the kinship between Europe and the United States has cooled. It is, of course, not to a point of anything approaching military conflict, but it is definitely at a point of ‘we gotta talk.’

President Trump, quite rightly, has voiced his dissatisfaction with a continent that gleefully conducts its business, exploiting our goodwill by shouldering the majority of NATO’s defense costs without establishing a fair trade relationship, resulting in a significant trade deficit.

No one can deny the successful partnership that brought peace to Europe or answered the Soviet threat. But where Europe would have been without the United States is too ugly to even contemplate. It has been reported that Churchill, upon hearing of the attack on Pearl Harbor, said (paraphrased), “England is saved.”

Trump has not only seen the dangerous trend but has thankfully said, by example, “Enough.” President Trump is correcting the errors of our Democrat friends, to their anguish, of course. Those poor people were supposed to be their future needy whom the Dems could lavish just enough to keep them where they are…voting Democrat.

It amazes me that the Dems must have known that arbitrarily opening our borders would cost thousands of lives, but did it anyway.

No one would dispute that Europeans primarily founded and built America. We had a common religion, interests, and dreams and brought those desires with us across the ocean some hundreds of years ago. However, America achieved much of what many people in Europe aspired to but were unable to realize. After all, we did leave Europe for a reason.

What makes us so different is our Constitution, much of it a negative document as to what our government cannot do or take away from its people. In fact, Europe learned a great deal from America…self-government, freedoms that were unheard of in the monarchies of our motherland, and a democracy with controls that protect even the minority.

It is undeniable that WW2 gave the United States the status of the preeminent world power, but it was not without cost, nor was it out of a burning desire to do so. We hesitated to get involved in the conflict for over two years. Preeminence was a natural byproduct of the logical victor. For much of our history, an ocean was sufficient.

What has brought us together in the past—economic ties, language, and religion—has somewhat melted in the heat of changing values in Europe and the consequences of the 3rd world. Since the dissolution of the Soviet threat, we have seen Europe engage in the crumbling of free speech, the softening of the Christian ethic, the diminishing of Western values, the not-so-free markets, and an almost universal feeling among Europeans that we are still conducting the Marshall Plan of 1949. This situation has caused us, living across the ocean, to pause and reflect.

In other words, as has been expressed on numerous occasions, when there are soft people, hard times follow.

The glue holding the West together has somewhat diminished since the Soviet dissolution, but we are watching Europe closely.

The two most problematic developments in our beloved cousins’ countries have been their propensity for globalism and the unchecked influx of unscreened immigration, especially from Islamic nations. The most surprising element is their mistaken belief that these immigrants they have accepted will submit to a cosmopolitan society.

A day hardly goes by without seeing video of Muslim riots in France or other parts of Europe.

Islam has desired Europe since at least 732, when Charles Martel abruptly stopped their westward march in France at the Battle of Tours.

In the near future, they intend to finally conquer Europe and establish an Islamic caliphate on the continent. Any apparent cooperation they have demonstrated so far will only be temporary. All the pandering in the world will not stop Islam from running them over. Even though there are many peaceful Muslims, it is always the radicals that manage to steer the ship. Look at Gaza.

Islam may smile and appear cooperative to the World Economic Forum (WEF), but I wouldn’t count on it in the long run. Can anyone with any amount of intelligence imagine Islam giving up their religion for a world religion the WEF would propose?

The 3rd world will now incorporate Europe into the 3rd world. It has already begun.

America has seen the error in the ways of the Democrat Party and, in 2024, without fanfare, dismissed them out of hand. Again, we are now busy correcting their sins. Not so much Europe. They have bought whole hog the climate change hoax and globalism. Either that or their elections are somewhat skewed. Technology will always have both good and evil applications.

It is crucial to question whether Europe is manipulating and tweaking the nose of Russia to keep themselves on the American payroll and to justify NATO’s existence. After all, NATO’s expansion made Russia feel threatened, despite allies’ promises not to encroach on their borders. This is not a pro-Russia stance. It is the position we took concerning the Soviet Union delivering missiles to Cuba. Any examination of a map will confirm Russia’s unease.

Our founders knew Europe well. They cautioned us to keep our distance, that they have suicidal tendencies and occasional desires for a jolly good war, whether among each other or a foreign enemy. But leave it to Trump to straighten them out.

Europe had the advantage of thousands of years of education and experience in creating advanced civilization. But tossed it away in just a couple of decades.

Our president doesn’t just measure a nation by its power, but also of its wealth. And it is wealth that makes a civilization great. Trump simply wants the world to stop making war and concentrate on making money and treating its people with dignity.

Europe is in the genesis of becoming a third world continent. Goodbye, Europe? Hopefully not, but let’s keep talking.
