The next national election will be contentious. Given that Democrats have literally lost their minds over the last one, they seem to be following a disastrous move to the left that will place them in a mental institution. There is no doubt that Democrats, especially the new socialists (e.g., the Squad) are overcoming the old warn down Dems like Pelosi and Schumer. They rant and rant a new secular socialist government with all vestiges of Judeo-Christianity removed. Blame all the white males for everything they deem wrong in America. Our forefathers who founded this great country with a great freedom-loving Constitution would certainly roll their eyes and turn over in their graves.
Not many people are aware of the backdoor election scheme that the Socialists Democrats have been planning and pushing on the American voters. It is called the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact and Mail-In Voting.
Democrats are planning to functionally eliminate rural red states and leave the selection of the president to populous blue states, even if it means depending on widespread voter fraud, ballot harvesting and mass voting of illegal aliens in California, New York, and other states.
Ballot harvesting is the practice of collecting absentee ballots by third parties and submitting them for the voter. It is illegal in every state except California. It smacks of voter fraud. With millions of illegal immigrants in California of voting age, the sanctuary policy still in force, registering to vote when they apply for a driver license, they could conceivably swing any election.
So far, the states that have passed or joined the compact are of no surprise. California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington State have signed on so far. These states represent 181 electoral votes and 67% of the electoral votes needed. Other states may join in. Anyone familiar with the political climate today can see a pattern here. They are all predominantly Democrat states.
This agreement is to make sure the candidate that wins the popular vote becomes president. The Democrats will no longer abide by an Electoral College system.
Contrary to the popular belief of the mal-educated today, we do not live in a democracy. We reside in a Constitutional Republic. In a democracy, or mob rule as some would put it, leaders are not constrained by a constitution. Our Bill of Rights in the Constitution spells out the limits of government power…what government cannot do. For instance, our government cannot deny you freedom of speech, the right to assembly, or infringe on your right to own a firearm, because it is spelled out in the Constitution. They are rights granted to us by God, not men. In a democracy, there could simply be a vote to decide what rights you will have, or not have and change with the political winds. A citizen will no longer be able to depend on a Constitution that forever guarantees those rights but will have to rely upon on a fickle congress or electorate instead.
The intent of the Electoral College is to give every state and its people a voice on who becomes president. The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A minimum of 270 are required to win the presidency. Each number of electors equals the number of the state’s senators and congressmen so that the electors represent both the people and the states.
Since the Constitution was made by the states, for the states and its people, the Electoral College system was designed to give a voice on the selection of the president to every state. For instance, California has about 36 million people and 55 electoral votes, whereas Wyoming has 563,000 people and 3 electoral votes, making California 64 times larger than Wyoming. But California is only 18 times more powerful in electors than Wyoming, giving Wyoming a political voice.
If we elected presidents only by popular vote, only the largest cities in the most populous states would have a voice on who becomes president, leaving most of the states unheard. If that were the case, no candidate would even bother to campaign in most of the states, and the needs of those states would be inconsequential with those states being subservient.
The problem will be amplified by the millions of fraudulent votes in primarily Democrat areas and the lack of voter ID laws in those states. Remember, it is legal for non-citizens to register to vote for local elections in cities such as San Francisco and other cities across the country. According to Old Dominion University, 6.4% of illegal aliens voted in the 2008 presidential election. Giving that 80% of illegal aliens lean Democratic, an election could be tipped. Democrats are fully aware of this and plan to take full advantage of it.
This compact is arguably unconstitutional, but not tested for voter fraud. If the next Democratic presidential candidate wins the popular vote but loses the Electoral College as constitutionally applied, both parties will declare their candidate a winner. This will create much more than a constitutional crisis. It could create a war. It did in 1860 with 650,000 dead four years later.
The civil war occurring now is a real civil war and is the first phase where insurrectionists made progress into some of our major cities like Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland. The Socialists desire complete power over the American People in a tyrannical power grab and move to dominate the American Citizens. President Trump firmly understands the dynamics that are occurring, but he cannot do it alone. Save the Republic and America. We must Stand up as brave Patriots from sea to shining sea and across the fruited plains. Divine Intervention will be in play, so Pray, Stand Up and Do something today……….
You know there’s a problem in the federal government when bureaucrats happily give millions of COVID-19 relief dollars to Chinese defense companies but shut out funding to key American businesses. Unfortunately, that’s the problem the country now faces.
Between $192 to $419 million of the nation’s COVID stimulus funds have gone to more than 125 companies that Chinese interests either own or have a significant investment stake in. At least eight of these beneficiaries have a direct tie to the People’s Liberation Army. This concerning list includes Continental Aerospace Technologies, a state-owned defense company that received up to $10 million. Two subsidiaries of China’s HNA Group, a Fortune 500 company involved in aviation and financial services, received up to $1 million each.
Why are our nation’s procurement leaders allowing Chinese defense companies to receive more funding than many of their U.S. counterparts?
Part of the reason for this paradox is the new, dangerous movement among partisans in Congress to extend the “Defund the Police” movement to the Pentagon. In the current deliberations over the 60th Annual National Defense Authorization Act, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has laid bare this movement’s intentions, writing an op-ed in Politico entitled, “Defunding the Pentagon: The Liberal Case.” These dangerous, partisan defunding initiatives caused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to quip on the Senate floor, “We’ve moved on from defunding local police to defunding the United States Armed Forces. Maybe we’ll be sending social workers on overseas deployments, when they aren’t too busy responding to violent crimes.”
One would think that Democrats would find taxpayer money benefiting the People’s Liberation Army a bigger problem than it being used to fund the U.S. military. Curiously, however, few—if any—have voiced opposition on that front.
Big government mandates have also contributed to this inexcusable disparity between funding for certain Chinese and American companies. Most of the problem comes from the Small Business Administration’s “affiliation rule,” which prevents any company owned by private equity from receiving COVID-19 relief. That’s a problem, considering that private equity companies own many of the mission-critical suppliers to the U.S. military that are struggling during this pandemic.
In a recent statement to The New York Times, Bharat Ramamurti, a former staffer for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and now serving on the congressional committee overseeing the COVID-19 relief, did not mince his words in the reasoning for their exclusion. Ramamurti said private equity firms “do fabulously well when their risky bets pay off,” and that “they should absorb risks when things go badly.”
The U.S. government’s funding of Chinese defense companies at their American competitors’ expense comes while China is increasing its military capabilities at an alarming rate. According to Michèle A. Flournoy, a former undersecretary of defense for policy, China now possesses the capabilities to attack our weapons systems through advanced electronic welfare, cyber-capabilities and precision-guided missiles. American forces in the Pacific are also reportedly “highly vulnerable” to attacks from the emboldened communist regime.
Thankfully, a coalition of 16 senators, including Cory Gardner (R-CO), John Cornyn (R-TX), Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Todd Young (R-IN), seems to be working to end this harmful funding discrepancy between certain Chinese and the U.S. contractors. They wrote an August 5 letter to McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), asking them to “consider provisions to support and provide flexibility for businesses across the aviation industry,” such as airport concessionaires and aviation manufacturing.
If a company’s connection to China’s communist regime does not factor into its eligibility for stimulus funding, neither should a U.S. defense firm’s connection to private equity. To weather this unprecedent public health and economic crisis, all struggling U.S. businesses should receive the relief that they need—especially when their continued operations remain crucial for protecting America’s safety and security.
Some of these senators are even pushing a step further to combat the alarming amount of assistance that Chinese defense firms receive from government bureaucrats and procurement officers.
Gardner, for example, recently proposed America First amendments to the NASA Authorization Act of 2019. The amendments would require the Government Accountability Office to review all of the aerospace contracts that the federal government has with entities affiliated with the People’s Republic. Not only would these amendments prevent Beijing from compromising U.S. intellectual property and military intelligence, but they would also stop these foreign companies from taking predatory actions that harm the continued operations and existence of those in the U.S.
The fight for American military superiority shouldn’t disappear because of a pandemic. Here’s hoping that Congress works to combat the government’s disparity in treatment between certain U.S.- and Chinese-connected defense suppliers before it’s too late.
