If Socialists Win

Winning elections is serious business, especially for Democrats. They don’t take losing very well. An uninformed person might say Trump is the same, but there is ample evidence that the 2020 election was fraudulent, which those in power refused to investigate. (Read ‘Betrayal & Treason’ Amazon)

Factions within the Democrat Party are facing off against each other, especially as the establishment recognizes that they cannot win in November without the backing of the Marxists. They currently hold all the momentum. And why not? The media and our education system have indoctrinated generations to a point where they feel like strangers in their own country.

The DNC has literally courted the devil and supported these communists, and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), observing that the Dems were sufficiently desperate, used them and are now deciding whether to allow the relationship to go further.

I see the likes of Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer being excited about the possibility of having new offices in the capitol, with the DSA saying, “Not so fast.”

The DSA looks upon itself as the leader of the resistance, the author of what their vision for America is. I doubt that any of them envision Schumer and Jeffries in a leadership role.

This situation does not necessarily indicate the popularity of socialists; instead, it underscores the Democrat establishment’s reliance on their support and the presence of a sufficient number of uninformed Democrats to help them achieve their goals.

I don’t believe the Dem establishment fully realizes the monster they have created. These socialists are not just political; they are revolutionary with violence if needed.

Democrats can paint as nice a picture as they want, but the DSA wants the end of capitalism and the beginning of a socialist economy. Like all communist movements in history, they will split America into haves and have-nots. The working class will control the economy and society. At least theoretically. The struggle will be a “workers unite” movement, as envisioned by Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and others.

They will want public ownership of industry and transportation. That will almost guarantee shortages of just about everything. They want Medicare for all, universal rent control, and abolition of the Senate, the presidency, and Supreme Court. Naturally, without the Supreme Court, there will be no reason for a Constitution, as we know it.

We will see the end of support for Israel and the closing of bases all over the world. Defense will be cut drastically. They want a weak and socialist America so the globalists can pick up a bargain.

The Electoral College will be eliminated and replaced with a national popular vote, giving ultimate power to states with the largest populations. Voting rights will extend to illegal aliens.

The DSA will want the end of cash bail and the demilitarizing of the police.

The DSA will also require that ICE be abolished, ending deportations, granting amnesty to all immigrants, and supporting open borders. Opening our borders will almost certainly drastically increase the population. A study by Gallup in 2019 showed that about 158 million adults worldwide would show up at our door, plus their children.

What impact do you think that will have on the prices of goods and services?

The DSA will demand federal job guarantees, tuition-free public colleges, all student debt canceled, and higher taxes on the wealthy. Everything they will demand will require much more than higher taxes on the rich. It will demand practically confiscating all wealth down to and including the middle class. And that is the whole idea. The middle class is the most powerful political group in America. They will destroy it. To solidify their power, they must make everyone needy.

Admittedly, there are excesses in capitalism. Tickets to a football game average between $150 and $300 per game, per person just to get in the door. The commissioner of the NFL makes $64 million a year. Football players earn an average of about $2.5 million/year.

The average price for a family of four to see a Knicks basketball game is about $1,300. To watch a finals match in Madison Square Garden will cost around $8,000 per person.

I don’t include baseball because the average ticket cost is only $34.82, while the average player makes $4.7 million/year. Of course, the ticket price does depend on the specific teams that are playing. The average ticket for an LA Dodgers game is $76.

Everything appears to be strangely out of balance. I find it unfortunate that professional sports has become a luxury only for the rich.

Prices in a capitalist economy can reach a saturation point where, in the minds of the uneducated, socialism becomes a viable alternative. We are close to that point, if not in fact, in perception. It is what we are seeing today. It is a danger we need and can avoid. But we can remedy these excesses.  President Trump has been diligently addressing price discrepancies, particularly in the realm of prescription drugs, grocery prices and energy. Trump is smart enough to not go the way of price controls, but to the source of the problem.

USSR 1984

In a communist country, the government keeps everyone poor, dependent, forcing them to wait in long lines for a chicken, a loaf of bread, or a pair of pants. Only government bureaucrats are comfortable.

In the Soviet Union, it was common for women to carry a “perhaps bag”…perhaps the stores would have an onion, a skirt, or a coat. Some people would see a line and join it without knowing what the store sold. Maybe it was something worthwhile. The black market was a national industry.

The problem with capitalism is the many restrictions placed on it by government and the occasional greed. The problem with socialism is apathy and the equal distribution of misery, with very few options to repair economic damage except by reverting back to capitalism, at least to some degree.

The problem with multiculturalism is the rejection of Americanism, and the separation it produces.

This brings us to a major problem of political parties, particularly the Democrat Party: they refuse to aid, help, advise, or consult the president of the opposing party because they want that president to fail. It is egregious and scandalous. It defeats the whole purpose of government.

The problem with political parties is megalomania. The collective demand for power becomes indispensable, a drug.

A strong belief in God once served to curb these human faults, reminding us that we all fall short and can overcome our darker nature. Not so much today. Socialists have adopted government as their god, and they are religious.

If you believe we have issues, I concur, but none that approach the prospect of adopting socialism. If socialists win, we lose. From where we stand today, we can solve our issues if politicians and citizens alike can move beyond their self-regard and, as John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not…”
